These are just a few characters; there are many others. If you want a cannon character not listed here, after you make the request, their profile will be listed here.
Col. Jack O'Neill:
Service Number 69-4-141 Jack O'Neill is the leader of SG-1 from its inception. He was on the original expedition to Abydos with Daniel Jackson and leads SG-1. Jack is a brave, irreverent, protective, skeptical, sometimes short-tempered man; an atypical but successful military leader. Together with his team, he's a bonafide hero of Earth.
Maj. Samantha Carter: Not available
Dr. Samantha Carter has a Ph.D. in Astrophysics and is an officer of the U.S. Air Force. She served in the Gulf War and was part of the Project Blue Book program (which later became the Stargate Program) just before Dr. Daniel Jackson solved the riddle of the Stargate. She was selected as the second-in-command officer of the newly formed SG-1 while at the rank of Captain. She was later promoted to Major. Samantha Carter is a brilliant scientist and exceptional officer, a vital part of Earth's defense against the Goa'uld and many other enemies. She is one of the few people on Earth who understands how the Stargate works. She is a steadfast friend to her teammates, was the closest friend of Janet Fraiser, and is a surrogate mother to Cassie. She is strong, independent, and often work-obsessed. Her romantic life has had its ups and downs, and although twice engaged, her marital status remains single.
Dr. Daniel Jackson:
Daniel intuited the impact of stellar drift and excavated the cartouche which provided most of the gate addresses. He made the SGC possible. Mission specialist on SG-1, which he joined initially in his quest to save his wife and brother from Apophis, Daniel's expertise in ancient cultures and languages is a vital element in the success of many of their missions. He also acts as the SGC's diplomat. Daniel is passionate, a devoted, wondering scholar and explorer, a true child of the universe. He has deep respect and sincere friendship with his closest friend Jack.
Teal'c:
Teal'c is a Jaffa warrior who betrayed his Goa'uld masters because he saw something in Colonel O'Neill that gave him the courage to fight to be free. He was First Prime of Goa'uld System Lord Apophis and is the son and father of Jaffa warriors. After proving his loyalty to Earth, he was allowed to join SG-1 and has since devoted his life to the cause of the Tau'ri. He is one of the leaders of the Jaffa rebellion and dreams of one day seeing all Jaffa free of the enslavement of false gods, with all Goa'uld destroyed. He carried an immature symbiote for many years, dependent on one as all Jaffa are, and enjoyed exceptional strength, health, and longevity as a result. He now uses a replacement drug instead, which makes him physically more vulnerable than before. Teal'c has been greatly influenced by his time among humans, becoming more like them with each passing year. He now smiles easily, speaks frequently, and understands Earth culture very well, even if he doesn't always smoothly blend into it. Teal'c is a strong and loyal friend of deceptive depth and gentleness, a fierce warrior who has saved his friends many times and who would give his life for them without hesitation.
Major General George Hammond:
Major General George Hammond was on his way to retiring when Apophis attacked the SGC. Suddenly the officer and gentleman from Texas found himself commanding one of the most significant endeavors in the history of the world: the Stargate Program. His leadership is a unique and admirable combination of devotion to duty and to the people in his command. He has defended his country and planet from external as well as internal threats, and protected the lives and reputations of the men and women under his command to the best of his ability.
