Welcome to the SGC. This is an RPing group based on the famous Stargate SG-1 series. This group takes place before Colonel Jack O'Neall became a General and before he became the Commander of the SGC. It takes place in a time when Colonel O'Neall was still the leader of SG-1. However, we do things as if we were in one of the parallel dimensions Daniel found through the mirror. Things are done a little different. However, the Gou'ald are still a major threat and the Replicators are destroying the Asgard. Our allies need our help, and we need to save the Earth: Again.

It had been to long, Varna decided, as she walked through the gate at the SGC. A smile crossed her face as she saw the usual faces. SG-1 and General Hammond. Behind her, she heard the other Tok'ra of her team come through with the cargo they were carrying. It was something they had found. And she wasn't sure what it was.
She walked up to Sam and gave her a hug, "it has been to long my friend. I have something you might be interested in. We aren't exactly sure what it is."
She let Sam go and looked at everyone and nodded to acknowledge them.

Sam hugged her friend, "it has been to long. How's dad?"
Sam looked over Varna's shoulder at the box that had come with her. She looked back at Varna, her interest piqued. She looked back at Col. O'Neall and Gen. Hammond, almost in a way that was asking for permission to check things out.
"Go have fun." O'Neall said.
A smile crossed Sam's face as she walked up to the box and opened it. It was a curious device, something Sam had never seen before. She felt that excited feeling in her stomach as she looked at them.
(OOC-Varna, can you describe these devices we are looking at? And maybe hint as to what they do? Thanks )

"We were able to desifer some of the characters, but not all of them. What we have learned so far is that it is some kind of a weapon. It activates with the sun, we learned that the hard way. We were able to deactivate it in time. We don't know it's power yet."
Varna looked at the device sitting in the box. It was shaped like a globe and it was just bigger than a two-handed fist. It was gold, except for the top. The top 1/3 was black and reflected light. Except sunlight, with sunlight the black would turn red and when the red filled the whole black area, the weapon was active.
"Do we have your interest yet?" Varna asked Sam with a knowing smile.

Sam smiled, "Oh yeah."
Sam looked at the device. Hearing the word "weapon" Col. O'Neall came up and started looking at the device too.
"So, what happened?" He asked Sam.
"They brought the device into the sun and it activated. It either reacted to the sunlight itself or the radiation coming from the sun. If we could find a way to open it and see..."
"Major!" O'Neall said.
"Sorry sir. We don't know." Sam said simply.
"Thank you." He said, walking away.
Sam looked at Varna for a moment before looking back at the device and letting her thoughts continue where they were going.
